NBA Finals Gambling Odds: Lakers Favored To Win Championship

The NBA has been dreaming of this match up for a long time, over a decade, in fact. The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers are back in the finals together, and the league could have hoped for no better match up.

The two teams are by far the two most popular franchises in the NBA. Their rivalry goes back to the eighties, although none of these players were involved in that. Several grew up watching those games, however.

The Celtics betting odds are slightly better. Gamblers must lay $100 to win $170. At almost a two to one underdog, the Celtics just may be the popular pick among gamblers looking to make a quick buck.

Ironically enough, the Celtics are actually favored in game one of the series. They are two and a half point favorite. The betting total on game one is 192.

The series offers an interesting clash in styles. Los Angeles was the highest scoring team in the league per game this season. Boston, on the other hand, has the best defense in the league.

Both teams have their share of superstars. The Celtics have Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. The Lakers, of course, have the leagues MVP, Kobe Bryant.
