NBA Free Agency Betting Going Down To The Wire For James, Wade

The NBA free agency period came quickly and within the next couple of days it will end quickly as well. The free agency bets placed at online sports books are hanging in the balance as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and a stable of other free agents ponder their futures for one last weekend.

James and Wade are the key components to the free agency puzzle, and surprisingly, it has been Wade who has been more outspoken in recent days about his options. Once considered a lock to stay in Miami, Wade has made several comments in recent days suggesting he is "intrigued" by his options.

One of those options is open to both Wade and James. The Chicago Bulls have perhaps the best surrounding cast if the two superstars choose to play together. Unlike if James went to Miami, neither player would have to adapt to a team where the other had already played.

Wade had two meetings with the Bulls Saturday, and his hometown may start to look more appealing the longer free agency goes on without the Heat signing top name free agents. It is still considered a long shot for James and Wade to leave the teams they played for since they entered the league.

On Saturday, the two favorites for LeBron made their pitches. The Bulls and Cavaliers took turns telling James why their city would be better for his future. The Bulls played to the businessman in James, while the Cavs attempted to sell James on the idea that there is no place like home.

Other big name free agents are in the process of securing their contracts. Paul Pierce has agreed to terms with the Boston Celtics, and Amare Stoudemire is expected to receive a max contract offer from the Knicks today. The Mavericks are hoping to secure Dirk Nowitzki also this afternoon.
