NBA Odds To Win The Championship Sees Familiar Teams at The Top

The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a season in which they went to the NBA finals and oddsmakers believe they will get over the hump and win the championship this season, as they are the 4-1 favorite to win it all.

Division rival San Antonio comes in as the second choice at 9-2. The Spurs were not completely healthy for the playoofs last year and this season everyone seems to be healed, which could signal another run deep into the playoffs could be possible for Tim Duncan and his teammates.

Miami, the defending champions, are tied for third at 6-1 with the Phoenix Suns. the heat return almost everybody from their championship roster of last year. Phoenix will welcome the return of all star Amare Stoudamire, back from a season ending injury last season.

Detroit, even with the loss of Ben Wallace, is an 8-1 favorite.

Cleveland, with the maturing Lebron James is the next pick at 9-1.

The rest of the top ten choices to win this year are New Jersey at 15-1, Chicago at 18-1, Houston 20-1, and the Clippers 25-1. The Cippers are just a few years removed from being the laughing stock of the league and are now considered to be one of the leagues best teams.
