NBA Playoff Betting Begins With Favorites Dominating

The NBA playoffs are under way and the glamour teams of the league are favored to meet in the finals. The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, old rivals are favored to win their respective conferences.

The first games of their series' went as planned for the two teams. The Lakers took care of Denver by double digits in L.A., while the Celtics beat the Hawks in their first game.

San Antonio, the number three seed in the West, needed double overtime to defeat the underdog Phoenix Suns in game one. In the East, the three seeded Orlando Magic beat the Toronto Raptors.

As for the two seeds, the New Orleans Hornets defeated the Dallas Mavericks. In the East, Detroit was the victim of the only upset of the first games. They lost to the 76ers after leading by a large amount early.

The series' continue on Monday, with game twos being played both Monday and Tuesday. Bettors who gamble on underdogs are hoping for better results that those of the game ones.
