NBA Playoff Betting: Lakers, Celtics, Hornets, And Pistons On Top
The conference semi-finals have started this week in the NBA playoffs. So far, the favorites in each conference have done nothing to convince gamblers that they won't win.
The Los Angeles Lakers are the top seed in the Western Conference. They are also the betting favorites in the conference. They breezed through their first game against Utah over the weekend. Game two is Wednesday night in L.A.
The Boston Celtics hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference, and not only are they the gambling favorite to win the conference, but also the league championship. They held serve in their first game with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
The number two seeds in each conference are also still alive. In the East, Detroit is once again on their way to the conference finals. They already lead the Orlando Magic two games to none in their series.
New Orleans is the surprise number two seed out West. Not only is that a surprise, but the fact they are up two games to none on the defending champion San Antonio Spurs is equally as impressive. New Orleans now must go on the road for games three and four.
In other news from the league today, Kobe Bryant was named the league's MVP. He was the front runner for the award that has evaded him for his whole career. Bryant beat out LeBron James and Chris Paul to win.
