NBA Playoff Betting Preview: Orlando Must Win Tonight In Boston
The Eastern Conference Finals resume tonight after having three full days off since they last played in Orlando. The Magic are faced with an 0-2 series hole, and must go into Boston tonight for game three.
In order for the Magic to consider themselves back in the series, they must find a way to win tonight. A loss would put them on the verge of elimination, and no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit.
The Magic will do their best to slow down Rajon Rondo and his Celtic teammates. Kevin Garnett looks like he turned back time, and the Celtics are giving Orlando fits all over the court. Luckily for the Magic, the Celtics have not played as well at home this year as in the past.
Boston understands that they have control of the series, but coach Doc Rivers has warned his players to stop the sweep talk. After the game two win, Paul Pierce insinuated that they would win both games in Boston and avoid a trip back to Orlando.
Even if the Magic win game three and lose game four, there would be precedent for a comeback. Orlando would be heading home and would have to only win one game in Boston the rest of the series if they could hold serve at home.
The Western Conference Finals resume on Sunday with Phoenix facing a similar scenario as Orlando. The Suns, however, will be heading home to play games three and four in front of their fans. They still will need to find a way to combat the Lakers front line if they plan on extending the series beyond four games.
