NBA Playoff Seeding Could Be Crucial To Gamblers
The NBA is widely considered to have too long of a regular season, but do not tell that to teams such as the Charlotte Bobcats, who are just one game out of the playoffs today. With less than ten games each left to play, NBA teams are jockeying for playoff position.
The outcome of the regular season could go a long way in determining which two teams will be playing for a championship. it also could have a profound effect on gamblers who are looking to place bets in the first round of the playoffs.
The Miami Heat are one of the teams that many believed could make a strong showing in the playoffs. They have stumbled, however, of late, and are now in danger of having to face either Boston or Orlando in the first round. If that happens, it could be lights out quickly for the Heat.
On the reverse side of that, Philadelphia, who has been one of the hottest teams in the league lately, could slide into the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference and have a winnable series against Atlanta.
Over in the West, the picture is even more blurry. The two through eight teams are separated by just a couple of games, and they all seem to be playing with the purpose of avoiding the Lakers in the first round. of all of the team, Los Angeles is the only one in the West that has been allowed to put it in cruise control over the seasons last ten games.
The playoffs are just a few weeks away, and the coming weeks will be as intense as any playoff series that follows. For NBA fans, it is now time to start focusing on what could be in the playoffs.
