Nebraska Looks To Regain National Prominance With Win Over U.S.C.
The Nebraska football team is a 21 point underdog this week against #4 ranked Southern California according to
VIPSportsbook.com, but the Cornhuskers are not only out to win the game, but regain their ranking among the country's best teams.
Some of the Cornhuskers have gone as far as to say that they will definately defeat the Trojans on the road.
Cornerback Andre Jones raised eyebrows earlier in the week when he said,"When we beat this team, we can show the worldthat we are a great team and we restored the order."
The order he was referring to was the mid ninety's when Nebraska was a powerhouse team in college football almost certain to finish in the top 5 teams in the country.
However, Nebraska has struggled to get back to the elite status since Tom Osbourne steeped down as the Cornhuskers head coach.
Nebraska is currently ranked #19 in the polls, but a victory over the Trojans would almost certainly instantly give this football team credibility among the college football community.
