New College Football Polls Out And Changes Are Everywhere
The college football world turned into bedlam this weekend as not many of the top twenty five teams in the nation survived without getting their first losses of the season.
The top five teams are unified in both the AP and coaches polls, the only difference is the top spot. In the AP poll, LSU has replaced USC as the nations top team. The Trojans are #2, followed by California, Ohio State, and Wisconsin.
The coaches have USC maintaining the top spot although their margin has shrunk over LSU. The other three teams are in the same order as the AP.
South Florida, which upset West Virginia Friday night, moved all the way up to 6th in the AP poll. boston College is ranked 7th, with Kentucky #8.
Florida and Oklahoma, both of whom took devastating upsets fell all the way to #9 and #10, respectively.
Rutgers and Texas appeared to take the worst hit in the polls as the scarlet Knights fell to #21, and the Longhorns to #19.
Next week, the gators have an opportunity to avenge their loss to Auburn as they travel to play against the top team in the nation, LSU.
