New England Patriots in a Fantasy Football League of Their Own
The Philadelphia Eagles played as good a game as has been seen against the New England Patriots, so good, in fact, that without seeing the score, one might believe they beat the Patriots last weekend.
They did not, however, and the fact that everyone gives them credit for keeping the game close, is a testament to just how good the Patriots really are.
Many believe that the blueprint was put in place by the Eagles as to how to beat New England, but the reality is that New England still scored 31 points.
The reality of the situation is that had they not missed a field goal, and had Randy Moss not been wrongfully flagged for pass interference, they would have scored eleven more points, putting them right at their season total.
The Patriots are playing so unbelievable this year, that a team gave up 31 points to them and it was actually looked at as a strong effort.
The rest of the schedule will tell whether this New England team will go down as the best ever, but with the Steelers the only opponent left on their schedule that has a defense worthy of stopping them, the road to an undefeated season is looking more and more smooth.
While the rest of the NFL is competitive, the Patriots seem to be playing in a fantasy league, that only they are worthy of, and with five more wins, that fantasy league will become reality.
