New York Giants May Have To Gamble On Michael Strahan Again

The New York Giants had everything align perfectly for them last season on their way to winning the Super Bowl. This year, however, they have been reminded of how quickly things can turn.

The Giants entered the preseason with the intentions of competing for another championship this year. Now, with just one preseason game left, they are trying to pick up the pieces after Osi Umenyiora was lost for the season to an injury.

The Giants were quick to come up with a backup plan, and a good one it was. If they are going to replace their star defensive end, why not do it with the former face of the franchise.

Rumors have been circulating that the Giants are going to try and lure Michael Strahan out of retirement. That is a shock in itself, but what is more shocking is it appears Strahan is willing to consider the offer.

The one thing that might have kept Strahan from returning to try and help defend the Super Bowl title was training camp. Strahan hated training camp when he played. Now, he will not have to worry about training camp, because there is only one week left until the regular season preparations begin.

With time running out on the Giants and most free agents already signed, Strahan might end up being the answer to Giants fans prayers.
