NFL Betting Favorites Could Rebound in Week 3 For Gamblers

The kind of beating that gamblers took last week is usually administered later in the NFL season, but with many of the favorites losing last week, gamblers were left to wonder where has all their money gone.

The bright side of upsets that occur this early in the season, however, is that the next week usually has some quality teams laying much lower numbers than they should be.

One such case of this is in Houston this Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts won the Super Bowl last season and have started this year as though they are looking to repeat. The Texans will host the Colts in a battle of undefeated teams. Yes, Houston is undefeated through two games. The line is Colts by 6, a number that would be in double digits if not for the Texans strong start.

Green Bay is another team that has won their first two games, and they host the Chargers, who are coming off a loss to the Patriots. The line is San Diego -5.5, a low number considering the Chargers were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders this year, while the Packers would have surprised people if they played .500 football.

New Orleans is coming off a season where they went to the NFC championship game, but this season they are 0-2 and desperately looking for a win. They host Tennessee Monday night, and although the Titans have played well, the line is only Saints -4, awfully low for a potential champion with their backs against the wall.

Sometimes things happen for a reason and last weeks underdog barrage could have been the best thing that happened to gamblers that play favorites, they just might not know it yet.
