NFL Betting Odds: Colts And Chargers Looking To Take Next Step

The San Diego Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts are two teams that came into the season with championship hopes. They both were picked by many experts as the team to beat in the AFC. Through the first half of the season, neither has looked like a championship caliber squad.

One of these teams could begin to turn their season around tonight. They meet in San Diego in what is an almost must win for both teams.

The Chargers are in a slightly better position than the Colts. They play in a division where the Broncos are on top, but have not run away from the pack. That leaves San Diego in a position to make a move if they can start winning games.

The Colts play in the AFC South where the Titans have a stranglehold on the division. The only way into the playoffs for Indianapolis is through the wild card, and one of those tie breakers could come down to the winner of tonight's game.

Peyton Manning has yet to get on the same page as his receivers, although as of late they look like they are turning the corner. Marvin Harrison finally caught a touchdown pass last week, and the Colts are looking to keep that momentum going against a surprisingly soft San Diego defense.

The betting line for the game has San Diego favored by a field goal. The total predicts a lot of points between the two teams. It is forty nine.
