NFL Betting Odds: Cowboys And Eagles On Sunday Night Football
The Dallas Cowboys appeared to be a team that was headed for disaster a few short weeks ago. Their quarterback, Tony Romo, was being heavily criticized, and their defense was giving up points at an alarming rate.
Then something season-changing happened. Wide Receiver Miles Austin suddenly found a repore with Romo, and the Cowboys have looked like a different team ever since. Tonight, they have a chance to gain sole possession of first place in the NFC East with a win on the road against Philadelphia.
The Eagles, however, also have their sights set on the division lead. Philadelphia responded strong last week after a dreadful loss to the Oakland Raiders. The team defeated the Giants last week, and can now also lay their claim to the division lead with a win tonight.
If it seems like these two teams have been in this position before, it is because they have. The last game of last season featured the Eagles throttling the Cowboys and keeping them out of the playoffs. Dallas has not forgotten how their season ended last year, and will be out for revenge tonight.
Philadelphia will most likely be without running back Brian Westbrook. He had practiced a couple of times this past week, but it now appears that he will not play in tonight's game. That leaves the burden of the offense in the hands of quarterback Donovan McNabb.
