NFL Betting Odds : Patriots and Buccaneers Lay Heavy Gambling Prices
The NFL is heading into the part of the season where spoiler teams knock off potential playoff hopefuls. That can be dangerous for gamblers who are trying to make money before the holidays.
Here is a look at this week's betting lines:
The Thursday night game which many people will not see due to it's airing on the NFL Network, has Houston and Denver as a pick em. Both teams have been inconsistent, and the line reflects that.
Sunday's games are highlighted by some high point spreads. The Bengals are 8.5 point favorites over the underachieving 49ers. The upstart Packers are favored by ten on the road at St. Louis.
San Diego, riding one of their winning streaks and is a ten point favorite over Detroit, who can't seem to buy a win these days. The Colts are 10.5 point favorites in Oakland, and Dallas, coming off a comeback victory over the Lions, are favored by 10.5 against division rival Philadelphia.
The two big spreads of the week come from different conferences. In the NFC, Tampa Bay is a 13 point favorite over coach-less Atlanta.
In the AFC, it comes as no surprise that New England holds the biggest spread of the week. They are favored by 23.5 over the Jets, and that number actually has come down as the week has passed.
Although many of these spreads are high, history has shown that at least one of these underdogs will win their game outright. The task for gamblers? Make the right choice on which one. Good luck and good betting.
