NFL Betting Odds: Saints Put Perfect Record On Line Versus Cowboys
There have been only three teams in the history of the NFL that have gone undefeated through their first fourteen games. Tonight, the New Orleans Saints can become the second team this year to join that group.
The Saints are looking to continue their march towards perfection with a home battle against the Dallas Cowboys. This game looked a lot more difficult for the Saints a couple of weeks ago.
That is because the Cowboys had been in control of the NFC East up until the time they faced the New York Giants two weeks ago. Dallas subsequently lost to the Giants, and followed that up with a loss to San Diego, which combined, have Cowboys fans concerned.
Dallas has made a habit out of pulling away from their division rivals early in the year only to give away their division lead in December. This year was supposed to be different, but so far the Cowboys are 0-2 in December.
New Orleans has been flirting with a loss for the better part of the past month, but in each case, they have found a way to survive and win. They know that Dallas has the offense to keep up with their unit, so tonight is not the night to have a letdown.
Odds makers have set the line at New Orleans -8. Dallas' recent struggles have led to that line, although the sports books believe it will be an entertaining game with a lot of scoring. The total for the game is fifty-four.
