NFL Betting Odds: Vikings And Cardinals In Big NFC Match Up
The Arizona Cardinals went to the Super Bowl last season and were less than two minutes away from winning a title. The Minnesota Vikings have been one of the best teams in football this season.
That makes tonight's match up between the Cardinals and Vikings as one of the top games of the year so far in the NFC. The two teams both have aspirations of going deep into the playoffs this year, and tonight will be a good measuring stick for their progress to this point.
Arizona has not had the kind of year they expected after reaching the Super Bowl last season. They have been inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball, and Kurt Warner is currently trying to play through a concussion suffered a couple weeks ago.
Minnesota, meanwhile, has had one one hiccup so far this year. They lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it is their only blemish on an otherwise perfect record. Brett Favre has been playing like an MVP.
The Vikings also boast one of the top defenses in the league. The Cardinals defense is somewhat unheralded, but also has played well at times this season. The teams both have offenses that could explode at any time.
Minnesota is 10-1, and the Cardinals are 7-4. A win by the Vikings would keep them in the driver seat to clinch a bye in the first round of the playoffs in the next couple of weeks. A Cardinals win would vault them into a position of possibly gaining that bye.
