Coming into the season many experts believed that the Pittsburgh Steelers were once again the team to beat in the AFC. While that may still end up being the case, it is two other AFC North teams that will be battling for first place in the AFC North on Sunday.

The Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals have come out of the gates in 2009 on fire. The two teams both have better records than the Steelers, and they meet in Baltimore Sunday for early season supremacy in the division.

The Ravens have already experienced this type of success. They played in the AFC Championship game last year in Pittsburgh, and knew they were going to be better this year with quarterback Joe Flacco a year older.

The Bengals, however, have surprised some people. Despite wide receiver Chad Ochocinco's comments that the team would win ten games, analysts still was not sold on the team. So far, the Bengals have made Ochocinco look like a prophet.

Cincinnati is just one fluke play away from being undefeated, and they have already defeated Pittsburgh once. A win over Baltimore would put the Bengals on top of the division for the first time in several seasons.

Of course, Ray Lewis and the Ravens should have something in store for the Bengals. Odds makers believe the Ravens will be ready, installing them as 8.5 point favorites in the game. The total of 42 indicates that either the offenses or the3 defenses could end up taking over this game.

It is a long season, and the Steelers have rebounded from their early season last minute losses. They also are getting Troy Polamalu back in the next couple of weeks, and that could vault them once again to the top of the division. For this weekend, however, the stage belongs to Baltimore and Cincinnati.
