NFL Betting Preview: Divisional Rivalries Rule The Weekend

The NFL has a way of doing things in grand style. This weekend, there are four games that could determine who wins division titles and who is playing for a wild card playoff berth at the end of the season.

There have been some big match ups so far this year, but none will be bigger than the games this weekend that are taking place in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, New England, and Philadelphia. All four of those teams will be facing divisional foes who are competing for division titles.

In Cincinnati, the Bengals have a Baltimore team coming in that had lost three games in a row before last week. The Ravens are seeking revenge for a loss to the Bengals earlier this season. Cincinnati is tied with Pittsburgh at 5-2. Baltimore cannot afford another division loss, one that would drop them to 4-4.

Indianapolis is in a little better position. The Colts have not yet lost, and with a win over Houston, could seize control of the AFC South. The Texans could climb within striking distance of the Colts at the top with a win.

The Patriots are on top of the AFC East, but that can be attributed as much to the poor play of the rest of the division than anything New England has done on the field. They are still 5-2, and a win would drop the defending AFC East champion Dolphins three games behind.

The Sunday night match up features two teams that have surged of late. The Eagles demolished the Giants last week, and the Cowboys have suddenly found an explosive offense. Dallas and Philadelphia are on top of the NFC East, and the winner will have sole possession of first place.
