NFL Betting Preview: Undefeated Colts Face Big Challenge Today

The Indianapolis Colts were supposed to be rebuilding this year. Today, they will attempt to stay perfect on the season, having not lost a game until this point.

In order to do that, the Colts will again need a strong performance from quarterback Peyton Manning. The team they are facing, the Houston Texans, has plenty of firepower on offense, and can make it a high scoring affair at home in Houston.

Whether high scoring or low scoring, the Colts have had an answer to anything that opposing teams have thrown at them so far this season. When wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez was lost to injury in the season's first week, Indy looked as if they would struggle to score points.

Enter Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie. In other words, it is not the receivers that make this team go around, but the amazing Manning. he may be having one of the best years of his career, and if he continues to shine, there are not many experts who will pick against the Colts the rest of the way.

The Texans also are relying heavily these days on their starting quarterback. Matt Schaub has been one of the best in the league, but the offense and team as a whole has been inconsistent. One place the Texans can match the Colts is at the number one receiver position.

Andre Johnson has developed into what some believe is the best receiver in the league. One of his rivals fighting for that title will be on the other sidelines in Reggie Wayne.

With the NFL season headed towards the final quarter, not many teams remain in the way of the Clots in their search for perfection. Houston is one of those teams, and they get their shot this afternoon at home in Texas.
