NFL Betting Recap, Underdogs Come Through in Week 3

Although gamblers who rely on teasers had a good day on Sunday, it was the underdog players who had the big day, as 10 of 13 favorites failed to cover the point spreads in the third week of the season.

There were several games headlining the schedule for the NFL in week 3 and all of the headline games, the underdogs covered the spreads.

Although the favorites moved ahead in the divisional standings by winning the games, the underdogs fared well in covering the point spreads.

Five teams that were underdogs in their games came out not only with covering the spreads, but also won the games out right, those teams were Cincinnati, Green Bay, New York Jets, St. Louis, and Denver.

Other teams who lost their games but covered the point spreads were Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Cleveland.

The only favorites to cover were Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington.
