NFL Changes Thanksgiving Day Tradition By Adding Night Game
For many years football purists have argued against the idea of any teams playing home games other than the Lions and the Cowboys and on Thursday night they will have lost the battle.
For the first time since the early days of the NFL there will be a game played on a field that does not have a star or a Lion in the middle of it.
The NFL is ever evolving and trying out new interactive ways to keep there game constantly changing for the better and on Thursday night the Denver Broncos
will travel to play the Kansas City Chiefs in a game that not only breaks tradition of football thanksgivings past, but it will also be the first ever regular season game shown on the newly created NFL Network.
Traditionalists are up in arms over the move not only because it breaks a long standing tradition, but also because the NFL Network is not a public channel and is not carried by several of the countries biggest cable providers.
Although that game will be a major change in the NFL landscape, traditionalists will have the opportunity to stick with their Thanksgiving traditions by watching the Lions host the Dolphins at 12:30 on CBS and the Tampa Bay travel to play Dallas at 4:00 on Fox.
