NFL Football Picks: Bears And Packers Going In Opposite Direction

The Green Bay Packers spent most of their off season last year dealing with a player in Brett Favre, that is not even on their roster this year. Whether that has had an effect on the team or not is yet to be determined.

In Chicago, the Bears were coming off a disappointing season just two years removed from playing in the Super Bowl. Their fans did not know exactly what to expect out of their team this season.

With two weeks left in the 2008 season, two things have become clear. The Packers are not a better team without Brett Favre, and the Bears may find themselves back in the playoffs after last seasons disappointment.

Tonight has become a must win game for the Bears when they face the Packers at home. With Minnesota losing to the Falcons on Sunday, it has opened the door slightly for Chicago to slip into the playoffs by winning the NFC North.

Green Bay will have a different motivation. They will be trying to put the pieces together for next year, and also trying to break their longest losing streak of the season.

Sports books have the Bears favored by 4.5 in the game. The total for the game is 40, and with weather conditions expected to be rough, getting to forty could be an uphill battle.
