NFL Football Picks: Giants Looking To Take Control Of NFC East
When the New York Giants won the Super Bowl last year, many believed they just got hot at the right time. They said that it was a fluke and that they were not the best team in the league.
This year, the Giants lost their two top defensive players before the season even started and again critics were saying that the Giants were a one year wonder and that they couldn't compete in the NFC East with the Cowboys and Redskins.
Tonight, the Giants will continue to try and prove their critics wrong. they enter tonights game against the Eagles with the best record in the NFC and a chance to seize full control of their division.
Philadelphia started off strong, then struggled, and now appears back on track. If they should defeat New York tonight there will be a battle for the East. If not, the Giants would clearly be in control and coasting towards home field advantage in the NFC.
Both teams have caught a break from the injury to Tony Romo. The Cowboys are struggling without their starting quarterback, but if any teams are unsympathetic to Dallas' injury problems, it is the Giants and Eagles.
Philadelphia has been without running back Brian Westbrook for several games this year, and the Giants have had their share of injuries as well. The Redskins, the other team in the division, are also in the hunt for the division title.
