NFL Football Picks: Patriots Over Jets In Divisional Match Up

The New England Patriots are coming off a year in which they were less than five minutes away from a perfect season. They stayed pretty much the same in the off season and began this season searching for perfection.

They enter game two on Sunday at the Meadowlands against the Jets still in position to complete an undefeated season, but they will be missing one of their key components. Tom Brady, their all everything quarterback, has been lost for the season.

That injury is apparently enough to convince odds makers that it was only Brady who was the reason for their near perfection. The gambling line on Sundays game with the Jets is New York -1.5.

The Jets did not make the playoffs last year, added a quarterback whose team of many years no longer wanted his services, and defeated a team last week by a touchdown that won one game last year.

New England, meanwhile, played most of their game last week without Brady and still managed to win the game. The Patriots have dominated the AFC East for several years now, and we don't expect that to change with Brady's injury.

New England still has plenty of play makers on the field. They are more experienced than the Jets, and they still have Randy Moss, the leagues best receiver. All those pieces should add up to an easy victory this weekend over the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets.
