NFL Football Picks: Put Up Or Shut Up Time For Saints

The New Orleans Saints were a team that a couple of seasons ago seemed like they were headed towards a dynasty in the NFL. They had a young coach who was pushing all the right buttons and they had just drafted Reggie Bush.

Things have not exactly went according to the blueprint the past two years for New Orleans. While they have continued to dominate offensively, their defense has been below average at best.

Tonight they will get a chance to once again right the ship. They have had these type games in the past few years, but rarely have they came out on top. If they are going to turn it around, tonight's as good as any to start.

"Man, we need to win tonight. Eventually this team will have to get a big win, and none would be bigger than a home game on Monday night," said longtime Saints fan, Don Matthewisky.

Green Bay has some problems of their own. They are in a dog fight in their division with Chicago and Minnesota and they desperately need a win to keep pace. All the while, they have had to watch their former quarterback Brett Favre lead the Jets to first place.

Aaron Rodgers has filled Favre's shoes admirably so far, but the offense still has not found the running game that led them to the NFC Championship game last year.
