NFL Football Picks: What Could Have Been With Colts And Jaguars
The NFL certainly would not have predicted the season would have gone like this so far. The Jaguars and Clots were placed in tonights NFL Network game because the powers that be thought they would be fighting for an AFC South division title.
Instead, the Tennessee Titans have already wrapped up the division title, the Colts are headed towards the playoffs as a wild card team, and the Jaguars have seen their season turn into a bitter dissapointment.
Jacksonville was placed by sports books
as one of the favorites in the AFC to reach the Super Bowl this season. They had one of the strongest defenses returning, and their offense was supposed to be much improved.
That is why they play the games. The Jags defense has been shredded over and over again. The offense has been inconsistent at best, and the overall team results have been dismal.
In Indianapolis, the team started their year similar to how Jacksonville started theirs. The difference is the Colts have now rolled off seven wins in a row to take their record from 3-4 to 10-4.
Indy will not win their division because of the season that Tennessee has had. The Titans did not receive their second loss until last weekend. At best, the Colts can wrap up a number four seed and a home game in the first round of the playoffs.
