NFL Gambling Leans Towards Favorites With Week 5 Betting Lines

The NFL season is only four weeks old but one thing is in focus, the underdogs have put up a much stronger showing than usual early in the year.

Gamblers who play the favorites have taken a beating early this season and this might be the week that the favorites actually cover some of the Vegas point spreads.

Among the games that look enticing to play this week, New Orleans seems to be the team that is ready to break loose. The Saints have not yet won this season after reaching the NFC championship game last year. They come into this game against a banged up Carolina team and are due to get their first win.

The New York Giants are 3.5 point favorites over their crosstown rival the New York Jets. The Jets are still a team with many injuries and the Giants have played better of late. Look for the Giants to win this battle of the Meadowlands.

Other favorites to keep an eye on today are the Cardinals on the road against the struggling Rams, and the Texans, facing a dreadful Dolphin team.

Things have not gone as planned in the NFL this year, meaning that one of these weeks the favorites are due to cover, this just might be that week.
