NFL Gambling Odds: Jets Trying To Avoid Letdown Against Broncos

After the first three games of the season, Jets fans were already calling for the head of their general manager. Brett Favre looked like a huge mistake and the team looked like it was digressing.

Fast forward a couple of months and not only have the Jets turned things around, but they have transformed themselves into one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl out of the AFC.

The Jets are 7.5 point gambling favorites Sunday when they face the Denver Broncos. It is nice that the team is favored heavily, but they are hoping they don't overlook the Broncos.

It would be easy for New York players to feel like they cannot be beaten at the current time. Last week, they handed the Tennessee Titans their first loss of the season. That game was played in Tennessee.

This week, the Jets return home and with a couple of big divisional games on the horizon, the focus of the Jets is to stay composed against a Bronco team who has been struggling mightily of late.

Their AFC East rivals the Patriots will also have their hands full Sunday. They will be hosting one of the other top teams in the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers. A Jets win coupled with a Patriots loss would leave New York with a two game lead in the division.
