NFL Picks: Betting Lines Have Many Home Team Underdogs

The NFL season is into the second week of the regular season and just as is the case in most years, odds makers are using what happened in week one to make betting lines for week two.

There are an unusual amount of home teams that are underdogs this week. Their performances in week one left something to be desired and that has caused them to be underdogs on their home fields. For some of them they are even the teams home openers.

Detroit is at home against the Packers, but are three point underdogs. The Lions did not play well last week and the Packers survived an early season divisional match up with the Vikings.

Minnesota, coming off that loss now host Indianapolis today. The Colts are favored by 1.5 even though they also looked bad last week against Chicago.

St. Louis is a team that was once again healthy but did not show any signs of life in their opener. They are hosting the defending champion New York Giants and are over a touchdown underdog.

Tonight, the Browns will be playing against their hated rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh looked very impressive against Houston, and is favored
