NFL Playoff Betting Odds: Patriots Still Overwhelming Favorite
If the New England Patriots are going to chase down history and catch the Miami Dolphins as the only perfect team in league history, they will have to continue to play perfect football.
The other seven teams in this year's playoffs all believe they have what it takes to end the Pats run. Judging by what has been shown on the field the past few weeks, they may be right.
The odds to win the Super Bowl that sports books have offered to the public reflect a different idea. One that says that New England will not lose until next season.
The Patriots are -150 to win the Super bowl. That means, a gambler must lay $150 of their money, to win $100 of the houses. Not good odds, but odds that show how heavily favored New England is to run the table.
The next choice of the odds makers is also from the AFC. The Colts, who just happen to be the defending champions, are +400. The other AFC teams are San Diego and Jacksonville. Both of those teams are +1800 to win it all.
In the NFC, the team with the best chance according to the odds is Dallas. They are +675. The number two seeded team in the conference, Green Bay, is +800. The Giants and Seahawks are both considered long shots at +3000.
