NFL Power Rankings: Giants Hold Their Lead Over The Titans
The New York Giants have been on top of our power rankings for several weeks now and if this past Sunday is any indication, they plan on staying there for a while. The Giants are once again the number one team after dismantling the Seattle Seahawks.
The Tennessee Titans are trying to wrestle the top spot away from the Giants. They showed they had tremendous character in a come from behind victory over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday. The win was one that would normally move them to the top, but the Giants performance cannot be overlooked.
Numbers three through five were difficult to rank in order, but we will give it our best attempt. The Steelers are the number three team after beating the Jaguars, their nemesis, on the road Sunday night. The way Pittsburgh won the game, with many of their starters not even on the field, is what gives them the number three spot this week.
The Washington Redskins took a big step towards contention by defeating their second divisional opponent on the road in a row. They stay above the Cowboys, who are the number five team after a sloppy performance at home against the win less Bengals.
Carolina moves into number six in the rankings after a hard fought victory to move their record to 4-1. The Bills, who had been in the top five, drop to seven after an inexcusable loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. Buffalo's bubble might finally be starting to burst.
The Broncos regrouped after their division loss to Kansas City and now holds down the number eight spot. New England also came back strong after a loss and is number nine.
Number ten was kind of a toss up, but the Miami Dolphins have to get some respect for beating the Patriots and the Chargers in back to back weeks. We are not sure that Miami can stay in that spot, but for this week they deserve some recognition.
