NFL Power Rankings Have Several Teams Drop Out of Top Ten
Indianapolis needed a last minute drive from Peyton Manning and the Colts offense to win in Denver on Sunday, but the hard fought victory kept the Colts at #1 in our power rankings.
The Bears are coming off a thrashing of the San Francisco 49ers and stay put at the #2 spot.
New England went on the road on Monday night and defeated the Vikings, with the win they stay our #3 team.
#4-6 see three new teams occupy their spaces. The Giants move up to #4. San Diego moves up from 7 to 5, and Denver drops from 5 to 6 after a stinging loss to the Colts.
Atlanta and Michael Vick move up to #7 and might be the hottest team in the top ten after following up their victory over the Steelers two weeks ago with another win over the Bengals.
Baltimore wrestled away the #8 spot from the Saints after using their swarming defense to defeat New Orleans.
The Saints only drop one spot to #9 in the rankings, and Seattle barely stays in the rankings at #10, mostly because they are playing without their starting running back and quarterback.
At the bottom of the list the Dolphins remained at #32, Arizona is #31 after another poor performance, Detroit is #30, San Francisco #29, and Cleveland is #28.
