NFL Power Rankings: Saints Still Marching On Top

The New Orleans Saints are looking more like the best team in football every time they take the field. On Monday night, they secured their place on top of their division with a win over rival Atlanta.

The Falcons looked good early, and it appeared that they may be the team that finally gives New Orleans a loss. The Saints offense took over, however, and they ended up in the same position as they had every game before, in the win column.

Indianapolis played their first sloppy game of the year, but they were still able to hold off the San Francisco 49ers. The Colts stay in the number two spot this week after that win. Minnesota also had a big game on the road against Green Bay. The Vikings are number three this week after beating the Packers.

The defending champion Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots both had byes this week. The Steelers have won four straight games, and are number four this week, and the Patriots round out the top five.

Philadelphia lost to the Oakland Raiders a couple of weeks ago, but they showed no signs of allowing that to ruin their season. The eagles took the lead in the NFC East with a resounding win over the New York Giants, who have lost three in a row.

Cincinnati was another team with a bye, and they are now in the seven spot in our latest rankings. Dallas, with their suddenly explosive offense, has moved into the top ten for the first time this season. They are number eight.

Denver lost their first game of the year Sunday, but they looked horrible doing so. That loss dropped the Broncos to number nine in the rankings. Houston won again, and they are now number ten heading into their match up with the division leading Colts this week.
