NFL Preview: Cincinnati Vs, Pittsburgh in Battle For Supremacy
The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals are becoming one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL, and Sunday they meet in the first of two regular season games that could determine the winner of the AFC North, and favorite to win the Super Bowl.
The Bengals have started the season 2-0, but with wins over a slow starting Kansas City team and the winless Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati has to prove to themselves and the league that they are legitimate contenders in the AFC. A win over the Steelers would provide that authentication.
Pittsburgh, on the other hand, is coming off a physically exhausting game on Monday night against Jacksonville, a game in which they lost. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger appeared to be rusty and non healthy versus the Jags, however, Coach Bill Cowher might have played Roethlisberger to get the kinks out for this weeks showdown with the Bengals.
The winner of this game will be the front runner for the division, and will get national exposure as a favorite to win the AFC.
