NFL Tuesday Night Betting Preview: Eagles Versus Vikings

USA Players Accepted at Rome Casino!

This season will god down as one of the biggest disappointments in the history of the Minnesota Vikings, and that is within a franchise that lost four Super Bowls in the seventies. With Brett Favre seemingly done, Joe Webb will lead the Vikings into Philadelphia tonight.

The Eagles have plenty to play for, and the odds makers reflect that in the betting odds. Philadelphia is a 14.5 point favorite against a team that was one of the betting favorites to win the NFC before the season started. The Eagles still have a chance to gain home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

Minnesota's season started on a bad note, with the Vikings beginning the year 1-3. They never recovered from that start, and Favre has been a complete opposite of what he was last year. Favre has been often injured, and when he has played the future Hall of Fame quarterback has been ineffective.

The Eagles have surprised many with their play this season. Philadelphia started the year with Kevin Kolb as their quarterback, but the story of the season has been Michael Vick. The maligned Vick took over the starting job after a Kolb injury, and has grown into one of two candidates for the league MVP award.

Tom Brady will likely win the award, but analysts are expecting that Vick will finish second. That is no small feat for Vick, who many had written off after missing a couple of years while serving a jail sentence for a dog fighting conviction. The Eagles have already wrapped up the division title, and they are now playing for a first round bye.

The total for tonight's game is 44.5. The Eagles are expected to put up plenty of points, as they come into the game with the top ranked offense in the league. The wild card in tonight's match up will be Webb, who is starting his first career game. He plays similar to Vick, using his legs to get out of trouble, but he is not nearly as polished a passer.
