There may be a lot of NBA players who have a problem with Gilbert Arenas by the time this gun escapade situation blows over. Another NBA team, the Miami Heat, have banned gambling on their team flights.

Arenas was involved in an incident where he had a gun in the Washington Wizards locker room. Reportedly, the gun was in the room to send a message to one of his teammates that Arenas had lost money to in a card game.

Arenas claims that he was simply having fun with the teammate when he placed the gun by his locker, but the NBA did not find his actions funny. After Arenas poked fun of the incident in a pregame skit with teammates, the NBA suspended him indefinitely.

Since the suspension, several teams have banned all forms of gambling on team flights. The Heat became the latest team on Monday, stopping players from playing cards for money on their trip from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City.

Udonis Haslem, one of the leaders of the Heat, claims that the team does not have issues stemming from gambling, but he understands why the team would take this precautionary move. Haslem hopes that once the Arenas situation blows over, the Heat players will be allowed to resume gambling on the flights.

Two notable teams, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, have said they will not ban their players from gambling on team flights. The Celtics and Lakers have more experienced players than the Heat, and may not believe that gambling problems will become an issue.
