Ohio State and Texas Prepared For College Football Showdown
Texas and Ohio State both know the importance of their game tonight in Texas, the winner becomes the number one team in the nation, while the loser is left searching for answers to where their season will go.
There has not been a meeting of #1 versus #2 in the regular season since 1996 when #2 ranked Florida State beat #1 ranked Florida 24-21. So the hype for this game is certainly deserved.
The Buckeyes and the Longhorns both know what's at stake tonight as the two teams prepare to do battle in Austin, Texas in front of a national audience.
Texas is the home team and is favored in the game by 2.5 points. Ohio State is the #1 team in the country. So something is going to have to give.
Tonight will be a good test for the Longhorns who will see if they can indeed rebound from the loss of all everything quarterback Vince Young.
As for the Buckeyes, the early season match up will prove to be the first in a long line of tough games they will have to win to become national champions.
The game is set for 8:00 on ABC.
