Ohio State And The Gators To Play For BCS Title Tonight
Ohio State has been the best team in college football for the entire year, tonight they will try to jump the last hurdle between them and another national title, the Florida Gators.
The Gators have gotten to the championship game by going through a vigorous SEC schedule and coming out of it with only one loss, to Auburn. Although the Gators had to wait until the last BCS poll of the season to become the #2 team, the wait was worth it as tonight they get a chance for their second national title in the past decade.
Ohio State comes into the game as the favorites after they have basically steamrolled everyone in their path on the way to tonight's game. They had to already endure two #1 vs. #2 match ups this year as they beat then #1 Texas on the road early in the year and held on at home to defeat #2 Michigan in their regular season finale.
Florida comes into the game with one of the nations best defenses and will present a problem for the Buckeyes high powered offense. The problem for Florida could be on the other side of the ball where their offense has sputtered at times this year while the Buckeyes defense is also one of the best in the country.
Game time is 8:00 tonight and the game will be played at Tempe, Arizona, also the site of the Fiesta Bowl. The game will be shown on FOX who has the exclusive rights to all the BCS bowl games except the Rose Bowl, which was shown on ABC. Ohio State is currently a 7 point favorite to win the game.
