Ohio State And Wisconsin Mix It Up In The Big Ten Saturday Night

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been able to wiggle their way through easy schedules over the past two years to reach the national championship game. This year, there is not any wiggle room left after losing early to USC.

The Buckeyes, if they are going to reach the title game, will have to play the rest of their season flawlessly. The beginning of that run will have to come tonight on the road against the Wisconsin Badgers.

The Badgers are coming off an upset loss to Michigan in which they blew a nineteen point lead. If they are going to keep pace with a very good Ohio State defense, they are going to have to get supreme performances from all players involved.

The odds makers appear torn on how this game will turn out. Ohio State is favored on the road, but only by the slimmest of margins, one point. The total for the game is forty four.

That total seems high when it is considered that many believe that this Buckeye defense might be one of the best they have ever had. They have had trouble putting it together on offense, however.

The winner of this game will keep themselves alive for a conference title. Since Ohio State's loss is out of conference, a win tonight could solidify their place in the Big Ten. That would put them on the road back to a BCS bowl game.
