Olympic Hockey Gambling Heats Up With Women's Final Tonight

When all is said and done for the men's and women's hockey tournaments at this year's Olympics, the gold medal race could come down to just two countries. The USA and Canada are on a collision course to meet in the men's event, and tonight, the women meet for the top medal.

Just four days ago, the USA and Canada's men's hockey teams put on a show for the ages. The USA upset the Canadians, and caused a public uproar in Canada. Since then, the Canadian team has won two games in domination fashion.

That game on Sunday may have given the US the confidence it needed to run through the rest of the tournament. For Canada, it clearly has provided the motivation to regain their status as the world's best hockey nation.

The women's teams, however, need no such motivation. The two countries have seen their women's hockey teams dominate every nation in their path. When they meet tonight for the gold medal, there will be little doubt that the two best teams in the world will be on the ice.

The two teams have arrived at the last game through the same path. They both have played ferocious defense, and have scored at will against any team they have played. Tonight's match up will be the first true test for the team's, and unlike the men's game on Sunday, the loser will get no shot at redemption.

It is winner take all. Bragging rights of two neighboring countries are on the line, and hockey fans are hoping the dram plays out much like it did in Canada on Sunday evening.
