Orlando Magic No Longer A Big Gamble For Underdog Bettors
The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers, those are the teams that have been pre-determined to meet in the NBA Finals in many people's minds. Someone, however, forgot to tell the Denver Nuggets and the Orlando Magic not to show up.
So both teams did show up for their games on the other teams home court, and both teams have now won a game on the road, stealing the home court advantage away from the favorites. Orlando actually has a chance tonight to steal two games in Cleveland.
If the Magic should succeed in beating the Cavaliers for a second consecutive game, there would be bedlam in the NBA front offices. The dream match up of Kobe versus LeBron would be in serious jeopardy.
"If the Magic wins game two tonight, I don't think that Cleveland can win the series," said NBA fan, Domenick Histeler, "Cleveland had better come to play tonight or it could be lights out."
It is that lights out mentality that has sports books squirming over this game. The odds makers know that Cleveland is in a must win situation, but they cannot put the betting line too high for fear that the public will go with the underdog in Orlando.
Last night, the Nuggets pulled even with the Lakers in the Western Conference finals. Now it is James and his teammates with their backs against the wall. Whether they will respond or not is the question on everyone's mind.
