Owners Gambling on Peterson To Win Fantasy Football Super Bowl

Adrian Peterson came into this season drafted lower than his potential warranted. The reason for that was the major surgery that he had in college. Many were afraid the injury may have been too much for him to come back from.

The Minnesota Vikings took a chance on Peterson and, oh, how that risk has paid off. They are on the verge of clinching a playoff spot and he is in the running for the league rushing title with two weeks of football left.

In fantasy football, owners had a similar dilemma to contemplate. Many believed he would eventually win the starting running back job, but it was unclear how soon that would happen with Chester Taylor penciled in as the starter.

Now, the Super Bowl has arrived in most fantasy leagues, and more than the majority of owners who had faith and drafted Peterson are playing this week. Peterson is in many line ups and may end up being the determining factor in who wins fantasy league championships.

The Vikings play at home tonight. That means that Peterson will be one of the last players to step on the field for fantasy teams this year. Titles will be won or lost based on his performance. The time has come. The pressure is on. All fantasy eyes will be on the rookie from Oklahoma.
