Penn State Youth Could Be Downfall Against #5 Ranked Notre Dame
The Penn State Nittany Lions have not had a big win on the road since beating Wisconsin in 2002, but they get their chance on Saturday against #5 ranked Notre Dame in South Bend.
The Nittany Lions come into the game looking to pull of the upset, however, they have youth in some key areas on the field.
Their defensive backfield does not have much experience and they will be facing the frontrunner for the Heisman trophy in quarterback Brady Quinn. That could pose a huge problem on defense for Penn Sate.
Also, a key to the game could be the effectiveness of the Lions offensive line. They struggled a bit against Akron, and now face the challenge of going against one of the top defensive lines in the country.
The betting line for the game is currently at Notre Dame minus 8, showing that Penn State needs to not only overcome their youth, but also public perception, to pull off the upset.
