Playoff Race Heats Up in The NFL on Week 13
Jacksonville came into this weeks game against Indy knowing that although the Jags always play the Colts tough they had no victories in recent years to show for their efforts, that all changed on Sunday when the Jags routed the Colts 44-17. It was the Colts second straight loss.
In Miami, the Dolphins overwhelmed another of the AFC favories, New England, 21-0. The Dolphins are now 6-7 after starting out the season poorly.
The Giants got themselves back on track and further hurt Carolina's playoff chances by winning 27-13. The Giants will host Philadelphia next week in what becomes a huge game for both teams playoff chances after Philly beat Washington 21-19 on Sunday.
In other games with playoff implications Baltimore went on the road and defeated Kansas City 20-10, San Diego cruised to a victory and a division title by beating Denver 48-20. Ladanian Tomlinson broke the single season touchdown record in the game, the record was broke last year by Shaun Alexander and now is owned by Tomlinson, who sets the record with still three games left in the regular season.
Seattle had a chance to win it's division with San Francisco losing to Green Bay, but the Seahawks failed to take advantage as they lost to Arizona on the road.
Tennessee came from behind again with Vince Young, who is starting to emerge as a real force in the league in just hias first year. The Titans came back to beat Houston when Young scampered for a long distance touchdown in overtime.
