Princeton Review Party Schools 2011: UGA For Gambling And Booze
More and more college students are gambling than ever before on sporting events. At the University of Georgia, the partying habits are fast and furious, which leads to the possibility of higher gambling rates.
The Princeton Review party schools 2011 list has been revealed and Georgia is tops on the list. College students in Athens are leading the way when it comes to making sure they get their full college experience both in and out of class.
The list always has some of the biggest schools in the country in the top ten. The college football season has a lot to do with the atmosphere around campus, which is why Florida, Florida State, and now Georgia have spent time near the top of the list.
"I love the fact that we are the top party school in the country," said Mark Weiner. "We still get our education, but we also have fun in the process. It is nice to have those bragging rights over my friends when I go back to my hometown. To be able to say that my school has the best party's, that's special."
College administrators have been more concerned in recent years in the amount of students that are gambling than others that are partying. Casino gambling has been expanded throughout the US, and sports betting is bigger than ever in the US among college students.
Every year, billions of dollars are bet on college athletics. On campus bookies can always been found, but many students have turned to the Internet to find sites where they can place bets. Sports gambling is illegal in every state in the US outside of Delaware and Nevada.
Other schools that finished high on the party school list include Penn State at number three, West Virginia at four, Mississippi at five, and Florida at seven. Florida State fell out of the top ten for the first time in years, falling to number eleven.
