Rockies Heading Back To Colorado Down 2-0 To Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox have been considered the best team in baseball for most of the season, and now, on the games grandest stage, they are proving what everybody had perceived as truth, that they are, indeed, the best.
Colorado had a nine day layoff between their last game and the start of the World Series, and apparently that layoff has caused the Rockies some rust, as they have yet to get their bats going.
Now they head back home down 2-0 in this best of seven series, and they will be counting on the energy of the home crowd at Coors Field to revive them and get them back into the series before it is to late.
Boston was expected to have the better pitching coming into the series and that has been the case as they have gotten two superb performances out of aces Josh Beckett and Curt Shilling.
The Rockies will be sending Josh Fogg to the mound on Saturday night to try and get a desperately needed win for Colorado. His counterpart will be Dice-K, who the Red Sox brought over from Japan to pitch in this very situation, a chance to go up 3-0 in the World Series.
Should Boston win again, they would be on the verge of their second title in four years, and will be well on their way to supplanting the Yankees as the premier dynasty in the sport.
