Saints And Redskins Betting Odds Change After Recent Trades
The New Orleans Saints already had one of the best offenses in the National Football League. Their trade yesterday for former Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey just made a potent offense better.
In Washington, they also have improved their team through a recent trade. They did not focus on their offense, however, their trade was geared to plug a hole that just sprung open a few days ago.
Jason Taylor was disgruntled with the Miami Dolphins and was causing a distraction, so it made perfect sense for the Dolphins to dump him and move on with their rebuilding proce4ss under Bill Parcells.
The Saints and the Redskins have both significantly upgraded their chances of reaching and winning the Super Bowl next year. Both teams had their gambling odds drop upon completing the trades.
The Saints are now +1300 to win next year's Super Bowl. Washington is still considered somewhat of a long shot at +3,000. The Redskins still have to deal with the Giants, Dallas, and Philadelphia in the tough NFC East.
New England is still the overall betting favorite at +300. Dallas has crept up on the Pats, and are +425 to win the title.
