South Florida Hosting Their Biggest College Football Game Ever

Tonight the South Florida football team will play on their home field in front of a sold out crowd, and they will try to establish themselves as the top college football team in the state.

Yes, that was written correctly, the team from Tampa is currently ranked #14 in the nation and if they should find a way to upset West Virginia, a top five team, they will have the right to argue whether they are the best team in the state, and that includes the mighty Gators.

The Mountaineers are searching for one of those magical seasons that college teams have, they are undefeated and if they can win their conference and remain unbeaten, they just might find themselves playing for a national championship in January.

The game tonight will be the only one on the college schedule, so South Florida has just as much to gain as West Virginia. Should they pull off the upset, they are sure to climb into the top ten in the rankings, and they also will have a leg up on the Big East title.

Louisville has already lost twice, which will leave the winner of this game battling with Rutgers and Cincinnati, both of whom are currently undefeated.

The big East is no longer the laughingstock conference like has been in past years, as with West Virginia, Rutgers, Cincinnati, and South Florida, they have four teams ranked in the top twenty five. Actually, all of those teams except Ciny are in the top 15.
