Sports Books Keeping Bryant And The Lakers Gambling Favorites

Kobe Bryant has been called many things over his NBA career, and not many of them have been good. Now, as the Lakers are on the verge of wrapping up their first round playoff match up with the Denver Nuggets, Bryant is being called, among other things, a good teammate.

The Lakers came into the playoffs as the gambling favorites to win the Western Conference. After the first three games against the Nuggets, they have done nothing to make people believe they shouldn't win.

Los Angeles has dismantled Denver in all three games of the series. Bryant, who in the past has been considered a ball hog and someone seeking personal satisfaction before the team's, is showing why he is the most likely MVP of the league this year.

He has gotten his teammates involved in the offense, and when they have struggled, he has taken over games. It now appears that the Lakers are on a collision course with San Antonio, should both teams continue to play like they are.

Gamblers who like to bet the favorites, have been feasting on Los Angeles' good fortune so far this post season. If things continue on as they are, the Lakers will stay the favorites over anyone in the playoffs, outside of Boston.
